Since 1991, Captain Grundies has been on the waterfront in San Diego in US Naval Commands and as a Defense Contractor and Consultant. His entire post-Navy Career has been spent conducting business development by networking with business owners and decision makers in the San Diego Defense Community. He is well-known and respected by Government and Corporate Senior Leaders.

Dave Grundies' post-Naval career has included opportunities in the San Diego Defense Community at 3 large and 1 small corporations where he Increased their visibility and resulting business. He established and built business partnerships in San Diego defense community for Harris, CSC, CACI and GET Corporations. For whom, he expanded established SPAWAR business model by the addition of PEO C4I, JPEO JTRS, SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific, Special Warfare Command, USMC, USAF SMC, and strategic alliances/partnerships with other government contractors.
Military Service
Captain, United States Navy (Retired)
As an officer in the United States Navy, Captain Grundies was a Naval Aviator with over 3500 hours and 100 Arrested Landings (Carrier Traps). Grundies’ career focused on anti-submarine warfare, Base Operations Support, and Financial Management. His last command was the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR). He initially served as Executive Assistant (Chief of Staff) to the Commanding Officer during the Command’s transition from Washington, DC to San Diego. Once the Command was stood up in San Diego, he was reassigned to serve as the Command’s Comptroller. Captain Grundies completed his 26 years of service in that role.
